Robust billing solution to collect traffic flow data. This is the AAS.

The Aggregate Accounting Server is a BBI subsystem. Its main task is to collect traffic and SIT (Satellite Information Terminal) profile information from various other BBI subsystems in order to create call details records (CDRs). Created CDRs and flow data, as well as a number of tables with SIT configuration information are stored in the database. AAS performs several of these main task groups to make the collection process possible:

• SIT profiles management
• Collection rules management
• Call details record management
• Collecting traffic flow information

As the AAS does not have graphical interface, the Monitoring and Configuration module gives an option to look inside of the AAS in order to check its running status, get various statistical information and to change configuration parameters. The administrator can connect to the Monitoring and Configuration module through telnet protocol and set and get specific parameters by issuing appropriate commands.
